From the Pastor’s Desk – September 2018

Our children are back in school. Our Teachers are back in school along with administration staff. Summer, essentially, is over. We start looking to our fall schedules. Thanksgiving, Advent, Christmas, and a new year.
Before we look too far into the fall schedule, I want to point out a few awesome happenings.

SAK fed between 75-80 children a day. Praise God -SAK, you did an awesome ministry for our church.

Camping: 19 youth and 6 adults were involved in camping in one way or another. We send the largest group of youth to Little Grassy every year. Thank you Lord God, for helping us to send these people to camp.

VBS was a huge success. We all had a great time and learned about Jesus.

Youth group: The youth have been the busiest group in our church. They have done a number of fund-raisers to help them move forward. They make awesome spaghetti, wash cars, and now beginning to help keep our gardens looking good. The youth group are awesome ambassadors for us. They have had lock-ins that help them in their spiritual walk with Jesus. Many youth sit up front in worship and participate. I just cannot say enough about Kelsey and the youth. So very proud of them.

CAS Wednesday (formerly Big Wednesday) will begin September 12. Some of our youth will be helping us.

The youth and children ministries here is the biggest ministry we have, in my opinion.  Let us keep this ministry going, and find other ministries for adults.
