Worship Service – April 4, 2021
10:15am In-person and Live Stream Worship
Opening Prayer: God of Moses and Miriam, God of those who followed Jesus from Galilee to Jerusalem, God of all who call on you today— you delivered the Israelites from bondage in Egypt, keeping them safe from harm, as they ate the bread of affliction, seasoned with salty tears and bitter herbs. Today, you continue to hear the voices of all who live in fear and pain, offering them the bread of life and the cup of salvation, as a promise to deliver them from despair and anguish. As we remember the last meal that Jesus shared with his disciples, give us the courage to live as servants, to love the world as you have loved us, and to pour out our lives as members of the body of Christ. Amen.
Passing of the Peace: (L)The Peace of Christ be with you

CALL TO CONFESSION
Acts 19:18 Many of those who believed now came and openly confessed what they had done. So, let us draw near to God with sincerity and confidence, and pray together.
Prayer of Confession: Wellspring of Love, Source of Compassion, Teacher of Truth, you call us to wash the feet of others as you have washed ours, yet we are often unwilling to kneel at the feet of our friends, preferring to be served rather than to serve. You invite us to join all of creation at your feast, yet we are unwilling to make room at our table for someone we do not know. You pour yourself out for the sake of the whole world, yet we are often unwilling to let
go of our selfish desires. Forgive us and free us from our unwillingness to find our true life as the body of Christ— a body given for the healing of the world. Amen.
Words of Assurance: Hear the good news: God washes our souls with love and grace before we even ask. In the name of Jesus Christ, you are forgiven. In the name of Jesus Christ, you are forgiven. Glory to God. Amen.
