Covid-19 Announcement

Dear EAFUMC members and friends,

I bring you greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. In line with the announcement of our World Health Organization about the pandemic threat of the Covid-19 or Coronavirus, we are temporarily postponing all Sunday worship.

Since technology is made available, we are doing worship via live stream and video recording on our East Alton First United Methodist Church Facebook page and youtube.com. Live streaming will start March 15, 22 and 29 at 10:15am Central/8:15am Pacific.

All offerings, givings and tithings can be sent via mail or electronic deposit. Now is a good time to sign up for egiving. If you would like more information on how to get set up, please r.

Most important, please pray for God’s intervention in the spread of COVID-19. Ask God to eradicate this virus. Ask him to intervene. Ask him to help public health officials, doctors, and government officials with wisdom and guidance. Ask him to comfort those who have lost loved ones. Pray for those who are sick. Pray for our leaders that they make good decisions about our safety.

The Government and our UMC conference are calling all not to panic but to be in prayer and be vigilant. If possible, stay at home, which in turn will greatly reduce the risk of spreading this virus. Thank you all and God bless.
