Worship Service – Nov. 15, 2020

10:15am In-person & Facebook Live Stream Worship Sunday

Opening Prayer: God of fall and winter, God of spring and summer, you know the seasons of our lives. Let the season of darkness and doubt pass away, that we may be reborn in your light. Lead us into a season of light and warmth: a season of joy; a season of sober judgment; a season where your children clothe themselves in the breastplate of faith and hope, and the helmet of hope and salvation. Help us put aside the ways of
darkness and live as children of light. Amen.

Passing of the Peace: (L)The Peace of Christ be with you
(P) And also with you.

Opening Hymn: God is Good all the Time & We All Bow Down

CALL TO CONFESSION
1 John 4:15 15If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in them and they in God. So, let us draw near to God with sincerity and confidence, and pray together.

Prayer of Confession: Faithful Steward, you bless us with gifts that are uniquely our own. We long to use the talents you bestow upon us to build your kingdom. We yearn to live with gratitude for all that you have done for us and the opportunities you place before us. Clear our vision, Holy One, and help us see the good we can do with the gifts and talents we have received. Amen.

Words of Assurance: Rejoice, sisters and brothers, for our gifts and talents. Hear these words of assurance: “Well done, good and trustworthy [servant]; you have been trustworthy in a few things, I will put you in charge of many things; enter into the joy of your master.”
